The Canadian National Exhibition opened for the 2016 season this past weekend, and this time it wasn't just the crazy fried food that captured people's attention.
"We Don't Care" signs were posted at the festival's portable washrooms, along with hybrid male-female logos that demonstrate the CNE's support of gender-neutrality. CNE claims that the inspiration from the signs came from a past Toronto Star article that featured the distinct design in use at several establishments in the US.
Many people took to Twitter to voice their appreciation to the CNE for their progressive and witty way of promoting gender-neutral washrooms:
The CNE will run August 19 to September 5 this year.
