Yesterday, Starbucks Coffee Company announced their plans for the Starbucks to end all Starbucks. Coming to Chicago in 2019, the Reserve Roastery will be a "fully sensorial coffee environment dedicated to roasting, brewing and packaging" rare Starbucks Reserve coffees from around the world.
Given the fact that the Chicago was the site of the second Starbucks store ever (after Seattle), the location is particularly fitting. The Chicago Reserve Roastery will be the third of its kind in the United States, following the New York and Seattle locations. This specific roastery will feature an interactive four-story, 43,000-square-foot space to "bring coffee craft to life."
To compliment all the unique blends of coffee visitors will be trying, the Roastery will also include fresh baking from Italian baker Rocco Princi.
We think a road trip to Chicago in 2019 is in order!
