Dash cams can catch the craziest and most terrifying events, as we saw in the video where a Toronto man had a tire smash through his front window on the 401 westbound. It seems like Toronto is slowly reaching Russian dash cam status.
28-year-old Ajax resident Ricardo Renaldo Roberts was caught driving westbound on the 401 eastbound on Saturday morning, after many witnesses called 911 around 5:40 A.M. He somehow managed to drive more than 20 km without hurting anyone, only because other cars had to "swerve out of the way" to avoid colliding with him.
Roberts was arrested near Mississauga Road in Mississauga and faces charges of dangerous driving, impaired driving, and refusing to provide a breath sample. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Why do all the scary things happen on the 401? We don't know, but we think we'd rather take local roads instead.
