Toronto Police Are Offering $50,000 For Help In Solving A Homicide Case (VIDEO)

A 2016 shooting in Liberty Village is a case gone cold so Toronto Police are asking the public for help.

While Toronto has been experiencing a surge in gun crime during 2018, the city has never been perfect when it comes to shootings. An incident in the city's Liberty Village neighbourhood left a man dead in 2016.

Two years ago on Sunday, September 11th, a 26-year-old Toronto man identified as Kiesingar Gunn was killed after being shot just around Liberty Street and Mowat Avenue after 4:00 AM. The victim succumbed to his injuries on the same day and now two years later, Police are offering those with information a reward for helping them. 

Police held a media conference today to give an update with how the homicide investigation is going and released the security footage above. They confirmed that Gunn was attending a birthday party at a venue at Forty2 Supperclub on Mowat Avenue the night of his death. He was spending the night with family and friends.

Due to the fact that the case is two years old and police are still searching for their suspect, the Chief of Police confirmed that there will be a $50,000 reward. That means if you can solve what happened to Kiesingar Gunn you can make $50K.

Police also confirmed Gunn was leaving the party in his vehicle he noticed an altercation with a group of people, including a friend of his. He got out of his car to approach the group when multiple shots were fired, leading to Gunn getting shot.

Police stated that their suspect was in attendance of the same party as Gunn, though they do not believe that the victim was the primary target. Witnesses described him as a black male with a dark complexion between 18 to 20 years old before he fled in a nearby getaway car. 

The family of the victim is making a plea that anyone with information about the shooting or who was in attendance at the party to please step forward and speak to police. 

If any of their information actually helps catch Gunn's killer they will receive $50,000. Now would be a good time to use your sleuthing skills for good and help solve this cold case.
