Toronto Power Outage Leaves 20,000 Torontonians Stranded During TTC Morning Commute

Watch out, delays will continue all morning.

A huge power outage is sweeping East-Side Toronto, leaving thousands of TTC customers in the dark on their morning commute. Hydro One has reported major disruptions as Hydro One suffered a loss of power.

The Toronto Star reports that outtages started at 6 a.m. and have effected over 20,000 citizens from St. Clair Ave. E. and Lakeshore Blvd. to Yonge St. to Victoria Park Ave.

The outage made for major delays on Line 2 as service was at a standstill from Broadview to Woodbine and still find themselves congested as the trains resume service. Service was restored at 8:40 a.m. though commuters will definitely see delays West of Broadview as well. If you have already paid your fair and have access to a GO Train or GO Bus, you can pay a simple $1.50 for your fare to get yourself where you need to be.
