2015 is kicking off great. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for southern Ontario for the coming week. Thanks to Arctic winds blowing in, it's going to be the coldest week we've had all winter. You may have already noticed it. The high today is set to be -9 C, but windchill brings it down to -23 C. Ouch.

The weather is so extreme that there are school closures, bus cancellations, and flight delays today. It is straight up dangerous to be outside.

And this isn't the end of it. We'll be experiencing weather going below -20 C all week, and there's a chance we'll get to -30 C on Thursday morning. Not the most welcoming news for those among us going back to work today after a nice long winter break. Hang in there, Toronto, we'll make it out of this!
