Toronto's CF Eaton Centre is home to the tallest Christmas tree in the entire city.

Toronto's celebrating the start of the holiday season next Thursday with the official lighting of the city's tallest Christmas tree. The tree is 108 feet tall and will be completely adorned in dazzling LED holiday lights.

The tree lighting celebration has gotten major upgrades this year, and promises to be a "new interactive and highly visual experience powered by LED technology."  The event will also be hosted by a surprise guest, who is a "local celebrity and DJ."

Cadillac Fairview (CF) is partnering with Starbucks Canada for the event, and promise to share some "holiday surprises" with the crowd. Maybe that means holiday latte samples in festive Starbucks cups?

Visitors are asked to arrive at 5:30 PM next Thursday to Centre Court on Level 2, which is closest to the mall's James Street entrance. The tree lighting doesn't happen until 6:30, but you may need the full hour to secure a good spot in the front. Until around 6:45, the celebrity host will be at centre stage, celebrating the magical holiday moment with the crowd.
