Toronto's Ashbridges Bay Will Light Up With Over 2,000 Fireworks This Victoria Day
A must-see event.
It's that time of year again — Toronto's skies will be illuminated with a dazzling display of fireworks in celebration of Victoria Day.
For many residents, it's tradition to head out to Ashbridges Bay to see the annual light show. This year, over 2,000 fireworks will be used to light up the skies, and the spectacle will last for a whole 14 minutes, rain or shine.
The fireworks can be viewed from any spot along the beach, but there will be a designated area set aside for people with disabilities. There will also be a smaller show at Boardwalk Place by Woodbine Beach following the main event, so there are many chances to see fireworks this weekend.
The Ashbridges Bay show will start at 9:45 pm, and the Woodbine Beach show will follow immediately afterwards at 10 pm. TTC service to the beach will be increased on Monday night, but if you do plan to go you should leave early as the roads will be particularly busy.
The City of Toronto also reminds residents that bringing your own fireworks is prohibited as a safety precaution.
See you there!
