Toronto's Parkdale neighbourhood is celebrating the grand opening of three new vegan restaurants with an epic four-day block party. The all-vegan street fest kicks off this evening and will stay popping all weekend long.
Today until Sunday, Copenhagen Vegan Cafe Bakery, Vegandale Brewery and Not Your Mother will be opening their doors from 5 to 10 PM. It's the perfect spot for you and your plant-eating pals to grab a vegan beer, dinner, and a delicious non-dairy ice cream treat.
Copenhagen Cafe is the place to go for super indulgent house-made Danish pastries, without any trace of eggs, dairy or animal byproducts. Not Your Mother is a Retro 70's Ice Cream Bar, the only one of its kind in Toronto. Aside from the fun vintage atmosphere, NYM boasts "next-level" non-dairy desserts, a refreshing must-have for a hot summer block party.
The block party is also the perfect opportunity to experience Toronto's hottest new spot for vegan comfort food, Doomie's. Doomie's is part of Vegandale Brewery, the city's first all-vegan restaurant and brewery.
The block party will also celebrate the reopening of The Imperative, Parkdale's favourite all vegan retail store, known best for their clever version of the "Toronto Vs. Everybody" t-shirt.
Block party-goers who spend $20 or more will also get a free pass to Vegandale Festival, a massive vegan food and drink event on August 11th and 12th at Garrison Common in Fort York.
