Get those rarely-used skates of yours sharpened, ladies and gents because the eagerly-anticipated skating rink under the Gardiner is set opening very soon.
This 250-metre skating trail being built underneath Toronto's Gardiner Expressway is nearly ready for the winter season.
Announced early Wednesday afternoon, the developers of Toronto's newest ice rink - The Bentway - officially announced the opening date.

Starting January 6, 2018, Torontonians will officially be able to hit the ice and eventually enjoy the urban space all year-round, as developers plans to use the space as an asphalt trail in the summer months for skateboarding, biking and pedestrians.
