Toronto's Sugar Beach Is Getting A Massive New Extension And It's Already Coming Together (PHOTOS)
Sugar Beach North will include tons of shops, restaurants, galleries, Muskoka chairs and iconic pink umbrellas.
If you love sitting under the signature pink umbrellas at downtown Toronto's Sugar Beach, we've got some amazing news for you. Developers have already started building a massive brand new extension to the beach called Sugar Beach North, complete with a sprawling patio, comfy lounge chairs, lots of trees, boutique shops and yes, tons of pink umbrellas.
Sugar Beach North will be located at the northeast corner of Lower Jarvis and Queens Quay, across the street from the original beach. The first phase of construction, which includes the patio and planting trees, is already well underway.
Image renderings of Sugar Beach North show the stunning things to come for the new waterfront area. Shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes will line the outside of the retail square. Plenty of outdoor seating, including Muskoka chairs and patio tables, will be provided in the summertime.
Considering how much progress has been made so far, it's only a matter of time before Sugar Beach North and the surrounding retail district officially opens to the public. But, as of right now, an exact date has not been announced.
