TTC Announces A Subway Closure On Line 1 This Weekend

Here's how you can move around the city instead.

The TTC announced another closure on Line 1 this weekend. But thankfully, it's the last closure of the year!

This Saturday and Sunday, the TTC will be continue its scheduled track work and replacement of old switches south of Eglinton Station, meaning that part of the Yonge-University line between St. Clair and Lawrence Station will be closed all weekend long.

And, as always, shuttle buses will be operating throughout the weekend to compensate for the closure.

But the TTC strong encourages riders to use the University side of Line 1 as they make their weekend commute into the city.

As the TTC is wrapping up its final updates to subway tracks and switches, riders can look forward to faster service now that the TTC reduced speed zones enforced for the past few weeks are finally coming to an end.

Regular service officially resumes Monday, December 11 at 6 a.m.
