In a recent study, a team of psychologists from the United States, United Kingdom and Canada surveyed 250 couples about their romantic bonds.

They found that couples who enjoy TV shows, movies, and books together can improve the quality of a couple's relationship if they don't have any friends in common. It was associated with greater intimacy and confidence in the relationship.
