If you have a pet dog or cat you likely consider it to be a part of your family, and you wouldn’t want anything to happen to them or for them to be taken from you suddenly.
One Toronto teen recently had her ex boyfriend take her shih-poo, named Tina, and sell it online using Kijiji though.
And the worst part is that he did it without asking for her permission to do it.
16-year-old Laura Bonfim says she was given the dog by the ex while the pair were going out, after they broke up the dog was still being split between them, spending time at each of their houses.
Recently though her ex took the dog and sold it on Kijiji without Bonfim’s permission.
Bonfim says she only learned that her dog was gone when her ex told her what he had done.
“And then, a couple hours later he asked if I would be mad if he sold her. Of course, I said, ‘Yes.’ I thought he was kidding at first. He purchased her as a gift to me. She was living with me and me and my mom were paying for everything for her,” Bonfim said to the Toronto Sun.
He told her he needed $700 that he got for it.
Bonfim and her mom have now taken to Facebook to try and find the dog.
If you have any info about Tina you’re asked to call 416-799-2126.
There is a reward available if she is returned home safe.
