Great news Toronto! After all the trouble we experience with city transportation throughout the year, the TTC is offering free rides on New Years Eve. But seriously, thank Corby Spirit and Wine for sponsoring the free and extended service on NYE.

The no fare TTC rides will be in effect from 7 pm on December 31st to 7 am on January 1st  for subway, street car and bus routes. Here are some more details provided by the TTC on the last subway departures:

  • The last train from Union Station on Line 1 will depart at 3:30 am to Finch and for Downsview station at 3:34 am.
  • The last train on Line 2 will depart from Bloor-Yonge Station at 3:37 a.m.
  • The last train on Line 3 departs from Kennedy Station at 4:05 a.m. for McCowan Station
  • The last train on Line 4 departs Sheppard-Yonge Station at 3:58 a.m. for Don Mills Station

The TTC free fares will remain in effect with buses and street cars till 7 am on January 1st.
