You Can Take Select TTC Streetcars For Free On St. Patrick’s Day

Ditch your car for the day.

St. Patrick's day is quickly coming up, and if you still don't have plans then no worries because we gotcha with this roundup of events!

And if you aren't struggling for plans, then you might be pulling straws to figure out which unlucky friend has to be DD. But skip the car this weekend and jump on the TTC because select routes will be free.

On Saturday March 17th from 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. those taking the 501 Queen, 504 King and 514 Cherry routes can enjoy a free ride thanks to Jameson Irish Whiskey who has partnered with the TTC to offer complimentary service.

These routes will also offer a performance from Canadian indie rock band Hollerado at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

However, there is a catch with the free routes, the TTC said customers who are transferring from the three streetcars to other transit routes will have to pay their fare when boarding at their transfer point.
