A new flight plan is underway that will allow passengers to fly from Toronto to Niagara Falls in just 12 minutes.
Greater Toronto Airways is an airline that provides charter services within Canada and the US. This past Monday, they announced that they are planning to offer scheduled flights from Billy Bishop Airport to Niagara District Airport in St. Catharines. The planes that will be used for these 115-km trips (one-way) are eight-seater, executive aircrafts.
Jim Diodati, the mayor of Niagara Falls, believes that the initiative will promote the city's economic growth and help increase tourism to the area. He also thinks that the service is great "for those people who don't have the luxury of time and they need to be places."
Tickets start at $85 for one-way trips and $159 for round trips.
