It's time to upgrade from your typical beach trips and try something new this summer!
The GTA offers some insane activities that will keep you cool, fit and entertained this summer. If you're looking for something to do this summer, add some of these to your bucket list. Although a few of these activities are a little out of the way, I swear they will be worth the road trip.
Grab your sunscreen and get outside!
1. Flyboarding // Niagara
Flyboarding is definitely at the top of my summer bucket list. This is the closest thing you can get to a jetpack in the GTA, and honestly it might even be a little cooler. There is no better way to cool off than soaring in and out of the water at extreme speeds. This activity is for those who are looking for an awesome adrenaline rush this summer!
Lucky for you we found a Groupon to make things a little cheaper.

2. Water Park // Vaughn
Wonderland is awesome, but sometimes on a hot summer day, Splashworks is a little better. Enjoy a lazy river, wave pool, and huge array of water slides all within the GTA. Admission to Splashworks is included in all ticket purchases and seasons passes!

3. Water Polo // Toronto
Maverick's Water Polo and Swim Club offers a summer league for those interested in getting active this summer. The best part about the summer program is that you can plan it around your already existing commitments. This program runs from June 20th till Aug 28 and is an awesome way to get outside and stay fit this summer!

4. Paddle Boarding // Toronto
There are tons of waterfront paddle board rentals across the GTA. Why not get in shape this summer and give it a try? This is an awesome fully body workout that allows you to enjoy your time out on the water!
Here is another Groupon for your convenience.
5. Jet Boat // Niagara On The Lake
I just recently learned about Jet Boats last summer, and it's definitely on my to-do list this year. These high speed boats rip through Niagara's white water rapids like it's nothing. This is an awesome activity to do with a large group of friends, and is 100% worth the drive from the city.
6. Kayaking // Christie Conservation Area Hamilton
Christie Conservation area offers rentals for rowboats, canoes and kayaks. Rentals are usually around 10 dollars each, with a paddle and life jacket included. Christie Conservation Area has it's own secluded river so you won't have to worry about any speed boats cramping your style.
7. Scuba Diving // Toronto
Dive world is offering discounted diving classes! These classes will allow you to glide through the water effortlessly and inspire you to care more about the marine environment! These classes take place indoors, which means it's the perfect activity for a rain summer day! Equipment will be provided.
I also have you covered with a Groupon.
8. Jet Ski Rental // Niagara
For those of you who have not yet had the privilege of ripping around the lake on a jet ski, I suggest you try it! Jet Skis are super fun to rent with your friends for an awesome afternoon on the water. This could also be a cool thing to do with you dad for fathers day if you're looking for an adrenaline rush!
Back at it again with the Groupon.
9. Giant Slip Slide // Toronto
July 16th Toronto will be setting up their annual giant slip and slide! Be sure to pack your bathing suit, floaties, and sunscreen, becuase this event will be crazy.
10. P0ttahawk // Lake Erie
P0ttahawk is Canada's largest boat party taking place on the second Sunday of July. This is an awesome excuse for getting together with your friends, day drinking, and spending ample time outside. It has been described as a day long “mardi-gras” on the water. Best of all, its totally free!
11. Party like a Pirate // Toronto
Enjoy the best boat party of the summer happening on Saturday June 18th. This boat party will take place on a pirate themed boat and will sail around the Toronto harbour/island. What's not to love about drinking, beautiful weather and a badass boat?
