Being a grandpa comes very naturally to many millennials, and honestly I am here for it. More times than not, it is so much more fun to simply sit at home, drink tea or have a beer and just chill out. Going out has become a hassle to many of us, and if you are personally not the old soul, then you sure know people who are.

If you're dating someone who is a total grandpa, but you want to take them out more than stay in, these Toronto date nights (as well as some that are bit of a day trip kind of adventure) that even the most grandpa like mans will enjoy!

Why you should go: This Toronto date-night comes highly recommended by many. With three locations around the city, they offer a wide selection of lattes, board games and craft beers. It makes a low key date night more fun than your average dinner and a movie!


Toronto Zoo

Why you should go: Open year round, this is a sweet date night (well in this case, day). Cozy up to your man as you stroll through the zoo and take in the adorable (or creepy) animals it has to offer. From the pandas to the rhinos, you're sure to spot some of your fave wild animals here. Plus the rainforest portion is the perfect place to take a seat and imagine you've really left the city with bae.

Why you should go: One of my favourite things about this city is that patio season can be year round! Heated patios are such a great gift from the universe when you never want patio season to end. Friday Night Jazz at Ripley's Aquarium

Why you should go: Ahhhh Jazz, such beautiful and fun music. Escape with your bae with drinks and jazz music as you stroll under the sea. Check the Ripley's events calendar, but most end of month Friday nights there are a host to live jazz music and is a 19+ event. The mellow music will leave you and bae is a chiller mood than when you came in!


Stroll and shop at the St. Lawrence Market

Why you should go: For your man that's all about food, this is a great place to spend a few hours. Hop around the stalls from meats to cheese and create a spontaneous picnic; then go sit down on the benches inside or out and indulge in the foods you have purchased.

While the location may be a bit farther than you'd want, this drive in has been around for quite sometime and has a lot to offer in terms of good movie selections. Philosopher's Walk

Why you should go: U of T's campus has got to be one of my favourite campus'. It's history is rich and intriguing, and this walk around is the perfect way to take it all in. This scenic path is a little oasis in the middle of the city.

Why you should go: If you suck at cooking and want to treat your man, go take a couple cooking class with him. This is a fun way to get you out of the house, and doing something fun. The Agawa Canyon Train Tour

Algonquin Provincial Park
