Everybody needs their alone time every once and a while.  But sometimes it's hard to come by in such a busy city.

We have compiled a list of 8 places in the city that will allow you to clear your mind and focus on yourself. We all get so caught up in work, school, family and friends that sometimes we put our own sanity on the back burner.  So it's time to focus on you!

Sometimes all you need is wine and cheese.  Treat yourself to a relaxing evening of indulgence at Archive 909.  The best part is you won't have to worry about sharing your appetizers!


2. Kew Beach // 2075 Queen St E.

Take yourself on a walk by the lake.  Sometimes living in the city we forget to appreciate nature and the environment around us.  Head to the lake and catch a sunset, it's free and super relaxing.


3. Stephen Bulger Gallery // 1026 Queen St W.

If you like art but you can never find someone to go gallery hoping with, go alone! There is no shame in appreciating beautiful artwork while solo.  Plus you can take your time and won't be rushed to the next exhibit! Also this gallery is usually free of charge.


4. Jimmy's Coffee // 15 Ossington Ave.

Treat yourself to the amazing Golden Latte at Jimmy's.  Not only is the coffee delicious, but they have tons of seating including an outdoor space.  Bring a book or your laptop and give yourself some quiet time to unwind at Jimmys!

5. Kingsway Theater // 3030 Bloor St W.

Going to the movies alone is completely underrated.  You won't have to hear your friend/ significant other's opinions on the previews, or share your popcorn.


6. Toronto Designer's Market // 1605 Queen St W.

Get inspired at the Toronto Designer's Market.  There are tons of cool creations to look at and buy and admission is completely free.


7. Trinity Bellwoods Park // 790 Queen St W.

Treat yourself to a picnic in Trinity Bellwoods Park.  Go to your favourite restaurant and take your meal to go, there is nothing like enjoy delicious food in beautiful weather.


8. Yoga In The Park // Park Yoga Toronto

Clear your mind and try taking a yoga class in one of Toronto's beautiful parks.  This is the ideal activity to do alone because you won't have to focus on carrying a conversation with anyone, and you can really focus on bettering yourself.
