Summer is here, and that means we all deserve a drink
or five for surviving another Canadian winter!
For those of you who are searching for something a little more adventurous than a patio in the city, or the vintages section at the LCBO, look no further! I have compiled a list of a few awesome places for you to enjoy your drink of choice, outside of the city. As an added bonus you may get to learn a little more about your favourite lager, or go-to pinot!
Grab your friends and head to one of these awesome spots this summer, and don't forget to bring your ID! ?
1. Jackson Triggs Winery // Niagara
Jackson Triggs Winery combines two crucial parts of summer, drinking wine and live music. Jackson Triggs Winery offers a summer series of concerts, mostly consisting of Indie music. If you're interested in listening to The Sam Roberts Band, or the Arkells while sipping on a glass of wine, be sure to make the trip to Niagara!
2. Steam Whistle Brewery // Toronto
Steam Whistle is an awesome option for beer lovers who are not looking to leave the city. Steam Whistle offers daily tours and free samples, and is in a prime location right in the heart of Toronto. This is also a great place to take you friends from out of town to give them a taste of the city!
3. Mill St. Organic // Toronto
Mill St. Organic has a micro-brewery right here in Toronto! Mill St. Organic is one of Toronto's many brew pubs, and is a great option if you're looking for a more laid back brewery experience. You can enjoy a cold beer while sitting on the patio, and learn about the small seasonal batches they produce on location! Be sure to get a seat beside the brewing action.
4. Trius Winery // Niagara
Truis Winery is the perfect place to take a wine lover on a date, whether that be your significant other of your BFF! Truis offers movie nights under the stars, Rosé Day, and Classic Rock tribute events. You're bound to find something to do at Trius Winery all while having your glass in hand. They also offer specialized tours depending on white type of wine you like.

5. Collective Arts // Hamilton
Collective Arts has recently started offering tours of their brewing facilities! Every Saturday on every hour guests can attend a tour for $12 each. This will get you free beer samples and a full tour.
6. Amsterdam Brew House // Toronto
Amsterdam Brew House offers "In the Tanks" tours daily, and they are completely free. Tours are limited to groups of 16, lasts about 30 minutes, and include a free sample. After your tour you can also enjoy a cold beer on their amazing patio by the lake.
7. Big Head Wines // Niagara
Big Head Wines is a relatively new winery in Niagara. The staff are very informative and will definitely help you find a wine that is suited to your taste. They also offer cheese and bread while you do blind tastings which is awesome.
8. Great Lakes Brewery // Etobicoke
Great Lake Brewing Co. offers an in depth tour of their production brewery accompanied by beer samples! They will reveal all the secrets of their brewing process every Saturday and Sunday from 12PM -8pM and cost $5.
9. Leaning Post // Stoney Creek
The Leaning Post is an adorable winery located in Stoney Creek. They have an awesome tasting room where you can sample a few of their many wines. They also offer tours of their facility and beautiful vineyard.
