Wintertime at Toronto's Ontario Place is a vast terrain of extreme temperatures, falling snowflakes and shimmery snowbanks. This winter, inventive artists across all artistic streams will display their creativity through intricate art pieces and exhibits, under a theme called "Disruptive Engagement."
This festival is not only an opportunity to bring innovation and beautiful art to Toronto, but it's also a totally awesome seasonal transformation of a popular summer hotspot. This whole interactive and live-events experience will connect art with people so regular folk will forget about their daily lives, conflicts and other stresses and just have a completely mesmerizing and happy experience.
Last year's winter festival completely took over Ontario Place. It had so many amazing winter-themed activities including the Winter Light Festival, a synthetic ice rink, a cozy fire pit to stay warm and even film screenings at the newly renovated Cinesphere! They also had exhibits like illuminated water forms, digital winter themed imagery, structures emanating light from inside and a 12-foot tall freestanding icicle.
With all the crazy renovations that Ontario Place has undergone lately, this will for sure be a winter-themed party. Cozy up against their new harbourfront bonfire pit if you are cold or grab some hot cocoa, build snow sculptures or go synthetic ice skating with friends. It's truly a winter wonderland.
