The Toronto Christmas Market Is Officially Coming Back This Winter

The most wonderful time of the year!

Fall has finally arrived in Toronto and before we know it we'll be trading in sidewalks dusted with golden leaves to blankets of white snow. The most magical time of the year is definitely the holiday season and we can't wait for it to arrive!

The holiday season makes you think of many different things that bring us joy like drinking a mug of hot cocao while snow falls gently past your window, toboganning down the biggest hill in your neighborhood with your best friends, stringing up lights on your front porch with your family and so much more.

There's one event that comes every winter that embodies all the best parts of the holiday season into one, the Toronto Christmas Market! They've officially announced that they'll be back for the 2018 season and we couldn't be more elated.

The Toronto Christmas Market takes over Toronto's historic Distillery District every year and it won't be any different for their 2018 edition! You can visit the market starting November 15th until December 23rd this year. They run all day long either opening at 12 on weekdays and 10am on weekends, staying open until 9pm weekdays and 10pm on weekends. They're always closed on Mondays though!

They have tons of great things planned this year to keep you busy including, beer gardens, outdoor bar terraces, vendors selling all kinds of Christmas treats and snacks, their iconic giant Christmas tree, a merry-go-round and tons of adorable spots to take pictures!

While admission is completely free on weekdays, they do charge a fee for entrance on the weekends of $6. It's not much, but this is their busiest time so a weekday visit is probably a better idea to avoid the crowds.

Last year they opened up a new attraction, a tunnel of lights made up of 80,000 shimmering light bulbs! We know this attraction will be coming back this year but we don't know if they have a new surprise planned for us yet.
