This Escape Room Near Toronto Locks You In A Jail Cell With The Ghosts Of Dead Serial Killers
Get out before it’s too late.
An escape room near Toronto combines three phobias into one — the fear of tight spaces (claustrophobia), the fear of the paranormal (phasmophobia), and the fear of serial killers (foniasophobia).
Omescape is one of the largest (and best rated) escape room companies in Canada. They offer some of the most high-tech escape rooms in the GTA, with interactive sets and detailed props in each game.
At their Markham location, you can take on an escape room called ‘The Penitentiary,’ where you will be locked inside a jail cell that has claimed the lives of previous serial killers who stayed there:
“You suddenly wake up one day to find yourself locked in a cramped prison cell, cold, scared, the air filled with silence,” reads the game description. You soon realize that you are in the same cell as the infamous serial killer Richard Ramirez A.K.A ‘The Night Stalker’ who died last year of natural causes. The cell has a history of mysteriously taking the lives of others, and if you don’t want to be next, you have to escape.
Brave participants can join in teams of up to nine to attempt an escape from the penitentiary within 60 minutes. Omescape has given this escape room a difficulty of 4/5, making it one of the hardest ones in their repertoire.
It’s $29.50 each to play and you can book a slot with your friends online at Omescape.ca.
Aside from the escape rooms, Omescape also has an awesome games cafe that features over 100 board games and a delicious selection of bubble teas. Visit Omescape now at 7501 Woodbine Ave.
