This New Toronto Game Bar Takes Game Night To The Next Level
Booze and shuffleboard? Yes please!
Attention kids at heart: There’s a new bar in town, and it involves everything you want to get up to on a Friday night.
Bangarang, the newest sister-bar to Track & Field, is taking tabletop games like shuffleboard out of retirement and into a cocktail-fuelled rec room party.
Carrying over the formula for the perfect game-theme bar perfected at Track, games on offer include Japanese billiards, rebound, cornhole toss and sjoelen. Don’t know how to play? Or maybe your memory is a bit foggy after a drink or two. Don’t worry, they’ve got the rules posted on a clipboard at each game.
When the crowd gets too rowdy, the room transforms into a dance floor, with a DJ booth and terrarium in the back. Drinks on the menu include the Old Kanye (rum, Campari and lime juice) and the Porch Crawler, which owners Nickie Minshall and Dustin Keating have described it as ‘literally just pink lemonade, vodka and beer’.
Cocktails on tap are $10, and are guaranteed quick so you can get back to your game.
Want the place all to yourself? Game lanes can be booked for parties for $40 an hour. The rest are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
The all-new games and cocktail bar is located at 552 College Street. And the best part? There's no cover.
