For the second year in a row, the same team that organizes the popular holiday Toronto Christmas Market in Distillery District has more holiday cheer to share with Torontonians!
The second annual Toronto Light Fest is back next month at the Distillery District, carrying the holiday spirit well into the new year.
Celebrating "The Art of Light," #TOLightFest 2018 will be a 45-day-long free light show featuring thousands of lights, art installations and sculptures spanning over 13 acres and 44 buildings.
Showcasing art and light pieces from local and international artists, the 2018 Toronto Light Fest promises to bigger and better than its inaugural year, featuring double the light installations from 17 artists.
Kicking off on January 19, 2018, these jaw-dropping pieces will be scattered across the historic district for over a month, ending on March 4.
Completely free and open to all, the Toronto Light Fest is an amazing way to make the post-Christmas winter months worth living. According to the event website, the reason this big idea came to life was to simply create a way "to make winter not suck so much."
And judging by last year's awe-inspiring art pieces, we're sure this year's event will live up to it's promise.
But with the amazing installations of yesteryear still making us giddy with glee, it's hard to imagine how this year can get any better.
