Though the lake is almost frozen over, the Toronto Beaches are about to heat up in a major way. From February 20th to March 27th, the east-end waterfront will be home to a Japanese-inspired hot spring.
The pop up hot spring is actually a pop-up installation from artists Asuka Kono and Rachel Salmela as a part of the annual Winter Stations Design Competition. The website for the competition includes the plans and layout of the spring, as well as a photo of what the final product might look like. The competition will feature 8 installations located in the Beaches.
You can find more information about the Winter Stations Design Competition and the insanely cool hot spring here.
