Toronto Is Hosting A Huge Puppy & Kitten Adoption Festival This Summer

Give these cuties a forever home!

I think we can all agree that puppies and kittens are literally the cutest things on the planet. We can't help but squeal when we see them because of their big watery eyes, fluffy fur and newborn floppiness that is just irresistible.

But honestly, who wouldn't want to love a squishy, fluffy, cute little puppy or kitten that just wants to love you all day long? No one, that's who! I think about adopting a new animal all the time because you'll have a friend that's always happy to see you when you get home from work and they get a comfortable and safe forever home.

If you're thinking about buying a dog, cat or other animal you should definitely consider adoption. Every year almost 7 million pets enter shelters and almost 3 million pets never find their forever homes. Pet Smart Charities is trying to change all that with their annual Mega Pet Adoption Weekend!

The Pet Smart Mega Pet Adoption Weekend is taking place in Toronto from September 14th-16th at a local Pet Smart store near you. If you attend the event there's no obligation to take home a new pet, but we can't guarantee you won't fall in love and end up bringing one home anyways.

This event allows people to meet and play with hundreds of adorable and friendly dogs and cats. Last year they found 585 animals new homes and this year they hope to find over 700 homes for these adorable animals in need!

All you have to do if you're 100% sure you'll be leaving with a new forever friend during this event is bring $25 and you'll walk out with a fully neutered and vaccinated cutie!

If you're not quite sure you're ready to take that leap yet into pet ownership there's definitely no pressure. Attend the event and learn more about being a pet owner and the adoption process from the experts. Then you can head to the Pet Smart website and look through animal profiles online or locate an adoption centre near you to visit them in person again!
