Toronto Is Hosting The World's Largest Indoor Lantern Festival This Summer

A truly magical event!

If you live in Toronto or even anywhere in Ontario you definitely know about the Canadian National Exhibition a.k.a the CNE a.k.a The EX. It's one of the largest outdoor festivals, carnivals and exhibitions in the entire country and takes place for a full 18 days at the end of the summer. Each year over 1.5 million people from all over the country and even the world come to Toronto for this event.

Everyone loves the CNE and honestly, what's not to love? There's tons of fun rides, a huge food court serving up insane food creations, a midway full of carnival games, a massive international market and so much more!

This year the CNE has even more impressive stuff in store for us including the world's largest indoor Chinese lantern festival! This festival is celebrating the 2018 Canada-China Year of Tourism and you definitely don't want to miss it.

The massive Light Festival will take place in Hall D of the Enercare Centre during the entire run of the CNE. There will be 16 illuminated installations that will create a stunning kaleidoscope of light and colour!

It's going to be a display so large that the world has literally never seen anything like it before!

The massive lantern festival isn't the only new thing the CNE has in store for us this year. They're also going to be hosting an outdoor Asian Market on Princess Blvd that will feature artisanal crafts and authentic Asian street food which will run from August 30th - September 2nd.

You can also expect to see some of the classic events that we all know and love at the CNE like their Food Truck Frenzy, Craft Beer Fest, Gaming Garage, Aerial Acrobats & Ice Skating Show, the Super Dogs Show and so much more!
