Luckily for you, you can save in some pretty big spending areas considering the city offers tons of cheaper options for when you want to eat, go out or do something fun! So grab your friends and plan out some fun stuff to do to celebrate the end of midterms!

They aren't called Bellybusters for nothing. This spot makes fresh submarines that are everything you would expect, filling, fresh and simply great! This no frills spot is great if you are just looking for good food that will leave you satisfied and planning your next visit!
WVRST // 609 King St E
If you are looking to get a German experience in the city, consider WVRST. They've got a crazy amount of sausages to choose from ranging from kangaroo to duck, all found in the German food hall styled space. Plus with their new menu editions of soft serve ice cream in flavours like toasted marshmallow and spiced pumpkin, you have got to visit this place ASAP.
The Dime // 538 Queen St W
If you love the concept of Queen Street Warehouse and El Funiture Warehouse, you'll love their newest venture, The Dime! This spot features the same concept with nothing on the menu costing more than $4.95. With the massive selection menu-wise it's the perfect place to go with a massive group of friends who can't agree on what they want to eat!
Double D's // 1020 Gerrard St E
You don't need to travel to Chi-town for some deep dish goodness! Not only is the pizza at Double D's delicious and the ambiance aesthetically pleasing, but it'll only run you $6-7 for a pie!
Seven Lives Tacos // 69 Kensington Ave
Tacos are always a great idea, especially when you are trying to save some money! Seven Lives never skips out on the toppings so expect to get the best bang for your buck in the city seeing as they load your taco to the point where it's difficult to hold without it all spilling out!
Mother's Dumplings // 421 Spadina Ave
Mother's Dumplings is a city staple when it comes to cheap yet delicious eats. Not only are dumplings a filling food in general, but this spot hosts the best in the city so you are guaranteed to leave with a full stomach!

Bar 244 is a student staple for good reason, the drinks and cheap and the crowd is always fun! Their staple cheap drink deals run all week so don't fret over missing out because the #3 mixed drinks and domestic beers as well as the $4 imported beer deals run all week long!
The Green Room // 296 Brunswick Ave
The Green Room is always a great idea if you want to go out but don't have a ton of cash to spend. They've got a great selection of cheap drinks from $3.50 martinis, $7 cocktails and $15 or less for sangria and beer pitchers!

Apart from the theme parties Sneaky Dee's hosts every so often, the cheap drinks are a massive reason as to why you should choose this spot as your friend group's weekly watering hole. With sours and bar rail shots only running you $4 on Mondays and Tequila Olmeca only costing you $4 on Tuesdays, you can grab deals on back to back deals if you aren't too hungover at night one!

If you are in the mood to visit a dive bar, The Bar With No Name is the perfect place to go! With pints only running $5.75 and pitchers in and around $10 depending on the day, it's the perfect venue to get a good buzz!

Wide Open is another great spot if you are looking for cheap drinks in the city. Considering that drinks will only run you $2.75 between 5pm and 8pm on Thursdays, it's definitely worthwhile to start your pre-game at this spot early to save some major bank!

Located right near University of Toronto, Diabolos' Coffee Bar is where every student should be going to get their morning coffee's before class. Everything is priced reasonably for students to enjoy and they also serve all kinds of treats and food for those long study days.

This spot offers organic coffees and house made treats all for super affordable prices. If you want to grab breakfast on the go, a breakfast sandwich is under $5, they serve cheap soups for lunch and brunch on the weekends!
The Coffee Lab // 333 Bloor St W
This is the smallest coffee roaster in Toronto, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and unreal coffee. They have tons of options that are already super affordable, but if you show your student ID you get an extra discount on your caffeine fix!
Art Square Cafe // 334 Dundas St W
The cafe that doubles as an art gallery, located directly across from the AGO has a lot to offer students and those that want to save their moolah. They offer cheap food and coffee, plus all students get an additional discount and OCAD students receive free coffee and tea that was donated by the gallery and guests.
