Forget a plane, ride an underwater train! China is looking to build a 13,000-km high-speed train line that would connect it to Russia, Canada and the United States with a 200,000-km underwater tunnel.
As crazy as the whole project sounds, how cool would it be if it actually came to fruition? According to The Beijing Times, the entire trip would only take around two days, with the train traveling at speeds of up to 220 km/h. And, according to China Daily, the tunnel technology already exists and is currently being used in a similar project that would connect China's Fujian province to Taiwan.
The massive underwater railway has been dubbed the China-Russia-Canada-America line and it would be the first of many international rail projects that China wants to take on. It is also interested in building a line that would run from London through Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, Kiev and Moscow
