Has there ever been a better time to explore our country than during its big 150? Canada 150 is all about opportunism and one Canadian student foundation is offering you the chance to explore our country from coast-to-coast for free.
Canada's Students On Ice is embarking on an ambitious 150 day expedition, starting from Toronto and ending all the way on the opposite end of the country in Victoria. The journey, called C3, spans across Canada's rarely-travelled Northwest Passage as well as some of Canada's best-preserved natural parks. The journey starts on June 1st this year and ends on October the 28th and applications have already opened up for those who may be interested in joining.
The SIF is welcoming people from all walks of life to attend the journey. The expedition gives Canadians the rare opportunity to explore the lesser known parts of their country with scientists, artists, historians and many others to help educate you along the way.
Each participant who is successful in the application process will be given the rare opportunity to join the expedition on one of the legs of their journey for 10 days. That gives 15 opportunities for some very lucky Canadians.
All that is required on your part is a passion for your country and some enthusiasm. C3 covers all the other costs of the expedition (with the exception of transport to and from the legs of the journey).
Applications are open until March 24 and all Canadians aged 18 and over are eligible to apply.
