Travelling is an expensive hobby. Canadians have it particularly bad, with the loonie being more close to a bottom than ever. Though, this is not to say that travel is completely out of reach for them - with the right strategy, they too can enjoy trotting the globe without breaking the bank.
Cheapflights.ca recently released its annual Compass Report for Canada, which analyzes flight data sent from all over the country. Within the last 12 months, a staggering 11.5 million searches were conducted in Canada. After crunching the numbers, they've come up with various rankings of destinations, including the cheapest ones available to Canadians.
The 10 cheapest travel destinations for Canadians are as follows:
- New York - $348
- Boston - $375
- Washington- $424
- Chicago - $442
- Fort Lauderdale - $470
- Cancun - $476
- Orlando - $478
- Tampa - $481
- San Juan - $483
- Los Angeles - $502
Not surprisingly, not a single domestic location made the list.
