For an epic adventure, travel through Ontario's canyon country by rail for just $100 a trip.
The Agawa Canyon Tour Train is a signature Canadian experience that lets you see the Heartland province in all its natural glory. Operating in the summer when the greens are at their peak and in the fall when the leaves start to change colour, the ride is the perfect way to escape the city for a little while.
You'll be transported to Agawa Canyon Wilderness Park, where you'll have an hour and a half to tour the outdoor space during a stopover. There are several beautiful points of interest in the park, including four waterfalls, scenic hiking trails and even the exact spots where Canada's Group of Seven once sat to paint their iconic masterpieces.
During your exploration, you'll want to follow the Lookout Trail, which ascends 250 ft above the train tracks to provide the best panoramic view of the canyon landscape. There are also two other trails, the River Trail and the Talus Trail, which take you to Black Beaver Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.
Allot at least 60 minutes for each hike, as there are several steps to climb to get to the observation platforms. Then, finish off the rest of your time with a meal at one of the picnic tables placed throughout the park.
For an even more memorable adventure, you can also book 2- or 3-night packages starting at just $176! Bookings can be made online for trips within the period of June 19 to October 14, 2018.
