Lilacs are hands down my favourite flower in the world! There's something about the varying shades of purple and the sweet fragrance that transform every neighbourhood into a romantic fairytale land.
Okay, that might be a bit dramatic but seriously, lilacs just make everything better! Especially since they pop up on every corner during the spring months. But if you want to visit a beautiful garden filled with lilacs in every dreamy shade of purple and white you can imagine, you must visit the Centennial Lilac Garden in Niagara this spring!
The Centennial Lilac Garden is part of the Niagara Parks in Niagara Falls which means it's just a short 1 hour and 15-minute drive outside of Toronto! In May to early June, the Lilac Garden fully blooms with bright purple, pink, and white flowers making it the perfect time to visit.
The 10-acre garden contains over 1,200 lilac plants and over 200 different varieties! This garden is completely unique to Ontario because you can't find this many lilac plants all in one place anywhere else in the province.
It doesn't cost anything at all to enter the Centennial Lilac Garden which is great if you're trying to save money this spring! It's the perfect spot to stop and smell the flowers, literally and it's a great springtime road trip.
