A boatel is something you probably don't hear often. A boat and a hotel mixed together? Isn't that just a cruise? Well, no, they're totally different. Boatels are a bed and breakfast that are docked, and cruise ships are waaay bigger than the size of a normal boat, move around and are very extravagant.

A boatel is something you have to experience at least once in your life. But this one, in particular, is special. While docked in Toronto Harbour, you get views of Lake Ontario but also in the background is the city of Toronto and the Toronto Islands. Even though the name of the boat is Making Waves, it kind of contradicts itself as the boat doesn't move from the dock!

You have three rooms to choose from when you book at Making Waves Boatel. And since they only have three rooms available, that means you need to book ASAP! Here is a description of the rooms:

  • 2 guests, double bed, cabin, shared bathroom
  • 2 guests, double bed, cabin, shared bathroom
  • 2 guests, double beds, main suite, private ensuite bathroom

They also have three different decks with different views of Toronto. Breakfast is included, they offer free WiFi, and they also have a bar for guests. I mean, could this place get any better?

The prices are pretty darn good all year round! The cabin suites are priced per night at $210 for two people, which is only $105 per person. The main suite with the private bathroom is $295 per night. That's a steal for the kind of treatment you get!

In fact, it's so great that it got a 9.5 rating overall and a 9.9 rating just from couples. If you and your bae are looking to get away for a weekend, then I would suggest Making Waves Boatel! They also have a TV and couch area for if you're just looking to relax.

It's also a super close walk to attractions such as Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, CN Tower, Toronto Eaton Centre, and more!

For more information on prices, location, and how to book, visit their website here. Also, they have a 2-night minimum stay policy but we promise, you'll never regret staying at this Boatel. The reviews speak for themselves!
