This Ontario Town Will Be Lit Up With 100,000 Lights This Holiday Season
It’s going to be magical.
Ontario's historical ties to Europe makes it a hub for charming Victorian villages and picturesque scenes. It becomes especially magical during the holidays, when all of the colourful lights, festive markets and dreamy decor fill the streets of its towns.
Cobourg is one of those places that will make you feel like you're spending Christmas in Europe. Located just an hour and a half away from Toronto, Cobourg gives off a charming old world vibe due to its Loyalist roots.
This holiday season, the town is hosting a seasonal event called Christmas Magic, where it will be transformed into the ultimate winter wonderland.
It's Rotary Harbourfront Park and waterfront will be lit up with over 100,000 coloured lights, making nightly winter walks through the town cozier than ever. The festival will also coincide with many other fun events in the town, including a Christmas Market, Santa Claus Parade and more.
The lighting ceremony will take place on November 24, 2017 from 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm and will be available until January 5, 2018.
