Canada happens to be filled with hundreds of parks and trails that showcase the country's beauty, and Ontario is home to some of the country's best destinations.

While some people believe in order to witness that beauty you would have to trek up north towards cottage country, this suspension bridge in Southern Ontario is the perfect place to explore some scenic views without the long distance travel.

Located two hours from Toronto, this suspension bridge is the longest in the region and is operated by Scenic Caves Nature Adventure, a tourism company dedicated to encouraging Canadians to explore their country. It is 420 ft. long and is lined by a wire fence and a steady handrail - wide enough for two people to walk side by side while crossing the bridge.

While the length of the bridge is pretty fascinating, it's the scenic views of it that capture your attention. Located far below the bridge is the Georgian Bay and a feature of paranomic views of surrounding countryside. On a clear day, it is said you can even see 10,000 square kilometres of scenery; with key areas such as Wasaga Beach and the distant shores of the Penetanguishene Peninsula.

Beautiful and exhilarating, the trek across the bridge is also a daring experience. The bridge makes you feel as though you're suspended in the sky, and it even moves with the wind and your weight as you walk across it.

Even though the bridge is flexible, there's no need to panic about it. The structure is fully supported by two steel towers attached by anchors and has chain cables running to the deck planks below. Running and hiking shoes are also required when walking the trail.

The Scenic Caves Nature Adventures bridge is open year-round and is located between The Blue Mountains and Collingwood. In the winter, they even allow snowshoe trails to walk on it.
