Spending time outside by the water is one of the best parts of summertime. You can soak up the sun, take a refreshing dip in crystal blue waters and enjoy some good drinks with friends.
Ontario is fully gorgeous lakes, rivers and quarries to relax your summer days away by the water! If you can't wait to get out of the city and really spend some time in the great outdoors then you need to take a road trip to Innerkip Quarry this summer.
Innerkip Quarry is located at 51 George St in Innerkip, Ontario. Innerkip Ontario is basically located between Hamilton and London which is just a 1.5 hour drive from Toronto, 50 min drive from London, and a 5.5 hour drive from Kingston.
This spring-fed quarry comes with bright blue waters that are the perfect temperature for swimming in the summer and is around 30 ft deep. People bring their floaties to the quarry and float the day away!
Not only can you bring your floaties and hang out on the water all day, there's also man-made ledges that are perfect for "cliff jumping" into the bright blue waters! If you're feeling like a dare devil you can definitely try them out.
Another unique activity that's popular at this quarry is scuba diving! There's several ship wrecks and a mine shaft hidden under the waters of the quarry that you can find with scuba diving gear. You can purchase a map and compass that will lead you to this hidden underground park.
If you have your own scuba gear you can jump right in but you can also purchase scuba tank air fills for just $10! If you want to camp in the area and bring an RV it will cost $10 as well.
