You Can Ride Dune Buggies Along This Forest Trail In Ontario

A unique woodland adventure.

This summer, explore Ontario's woodland trails via a one-of-a-kind dune buggy adventure.

Windrift Adventures is an outdoor experiences company that offers a selection of unique activities for every season. Starting out as a dogsled kennel in 1993, the company has since added attractions other than dogsledding to its repertoire, including horseback riding and, of course, the off-road dune buggy adventure.

The company operates in multiple locations across the province, including Horseshoe Valley (which is 30 minutes north of Barrie), Orillia and Moonstone. They run the only dune buggy facility in Ontario, so it's perfect for lovers of adrenaline seeking a unique adventure.

Between June and October, guests can partake in a one- or two-hour dune buggy adventure through the thick of a Carolinian forest in Orillia. After an orientation and practice session, riders will shred through mud and dirt as they blitz past fields, trees and rocks. All riders must be at least 16 years of age with a valid G1 license or 18 years of age to drive a dune buggy.

The dune buggy adventure options are as follows:

  • 1 hour, shared buggy: $65/person
  • 1 hour, single driver, own buggy: $130/person
  • 2 hours, shared buggy: $125/person
  • 2 hours, single driver, own buggy: $250/person

Windrift Adventures will be running dune buggy adventures this summer 2018. For more information, visit the company's official website.
