You Can Take A Boat Ride Through Ancient Underground Caves Less Than 3 Hours From Toronto

Adventure awaits!

We may still be in the heart of winter, but it's never too early to start planning your spring and summer adventures! There's no shortage of amazing activities and adventures to experience in Canada, but if you venture just across the border there's a whole other world of activities!

One seriously special activity allows you to ride underground through ancient caves on a boat! The Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride in New York State lets you float through these ancient caves near Niagara Falls! You should definitely add this to your spring 2019 bucket list.

The Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride is located at 5 Gooding St in Lockport, New York. Lockport is just over a 2-hour drive from Toronto, a 5.5-hour drive from Ottawa, a 4.5-hour drive from Kingston and just a 45 min drive from Niagara Falls.

Their 2019 season officially starts up again in May where you can explore Eerie canal and the underground cave system that was blasted out of solid rock back in the mid-1800s!

The tour starts you off outside by the Erie Canal where you can admire the local history, then you head to this creepy entrance that will lead you down into a 1,600-foot water tunnel.

From there you'll reach America's longest underground boat ride that will take you through the rest of the cave system. The boat ride will last about 70 minutes and is dimly lit by electrical lights so it's not pitch dark.

This completely unique adventure is open from May to October every year and will cost $16 for adults and $10 for children. This mysterious adventure is definitely one for the books this summer.
