The adorable town of Port Hope is located about a 1 hour drive from Toronto, 1 hour 40 mins from Kingston, 3 hours 17 mins from Ottawa and 3 hours from London. It's pretty close to lots of major Ontario cities and it's definitely worth planning a road trip to this fall.
The streets of Port Hope become blanketed with leaves of all different colours, it sits on the waterfront so you can enjoy a coffee and listen to the sound of the waves, the huge Ganaraska River runs right through the heart of the town and the downtown area is full of cute shops and restaurants to explore!
There's a bunch of quaint B&Bs to stay in while you're there and there's definitely no shortage of delicious restaurants of all types of internation cuisines to try out. They've actually started to become a foodie destination! Wander down the streets filled with heritage buildings that are home to antique shops, cafes, boutiques and so much more!
You may also recognize this town as the filming spot for the Stephen King's 'IT' from last year. They're currently filming the sequal to the movie right now so you could even spot Pennywise wandering the streets while you're there!
