It seems like winter keeps getting worse by the day all over Canada with snow storms and freezing cold temperatures on all the news reports right now. That means it's the perfect time to start fantasizing about your spring plans! Once the sun finally stays out past 4 pm and the temperature rises about 0 degrees we can breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy the outdoors again.
One of the spots here in Ontario that has to be on your spring 2019 bucket list is the largest lavender field in the province, Terre Bleu Lavender Farm! Once the lavender fields bloom it really starts to feel like spring has sprung in Canada.
Terre Bleu Lavender Farm is located in Milton, Ontario which is just 1 hour outside of Toronto. It makes for the perfect day trip with your BFFs, s/o, or family members to escape the city! Lavender typically begins to bloom in late spring and hits its peak during the months of July and August.
There are so many amazing activities and things to see at Terre Bleu Lavender Farm this spring. You can take a picture with the adorable yellow door in the middle of the fields, enjoy delicious lavender yogurt, have a refreshing mocktail at their herb bar, ride horses through the lavender fields, walk along a boardwalk trail through the forest to more secret lavender fields, and so much more!
Last year Terre Bleu Lavender Farm officially opened up for the season on June 1st so as long as the weather cooperates they should open on a similar date this year. It costs $10 for low season weekends, $20 for high season weekends, $10 for low season weekdays and $15 for high season weekdays.
If you're into yoga they also have 'Yoga In The Fields' throughout the months of June, July, and August for a completely unique yoga experience! They have tons of lavender infused gifts on sale in their gift shop as well that make for a perfect gift.
