Although you'd probably much rather be vacationing on a beach in the Caribbean, the reality is that not everyone can make it across the world this summer. No need to worry though — just outside of Regina you can find 7 amazing things that you and your signifcant other can do this summer.

1. Town of Lumsden // Lumsden
Time: 30 minutes
Lumsden is a charming town where you can find beautiful old homes and plenty of nature. Get out in the country for a little bit of fresh air, and while you're there, you can visit the Last Mountain Distillery for a tour to see where some of your favourite Saskatchewan liquor is made, or visit the downtown area for antique shop browsing.
2. White Butte Trails Recreation Site // Pilot Butte
Time: 20 minutes
This winter ski trail turns into hiking and cycling trails in the summer months. It's an ideal spot for bringing a picnic lunch and if you have a dog, you can also bring them along for the ride. Since it's so close to the city, it also makes a great destination if you only have an afternoon to spare.
3. Last Mountain Regional Park // Last Mountain Lake
Time: 1 hour 45 minutes
If you only have one day to spend at the lake, make your choice Last Mountain Regional Park. You'll find no shortage of things to do here! From canoeing, laying on the beach, an outdoor pool, picnicing, fishing, and hiking, Last Mountain has much to offer for making your day trip ahhhmazzzing.
4. Regina Beach Recreation Site // Regina Beach
Time: 45 minutes
If you and your S.O. love lounging in the sun, then make Regina Beach your next day trip. You can hit up Main Street there for some delicious food, including fish and chips at the adorable retro Blue Bird Cafe, or grab a coffee at The Ugly Mug Cafe.
5. Fort Qu'Appelle // Qu'Appelle
Time: 1 hour
Grab ice cream and enjoy the town sights as you wander around Fort Qu'Appelle for the day. There are beautiful and picturesque scenes all around the surrounding area to check out as well, including lakes and forest areas.
6. Downtown Moose Jaw // Moose Jaw
Time: 55 minutes
In Moose Jaw you will find an abundance of things to see and do. Stroll around the downtown for some shopping, spend the afternoon soaking in the mineral water at the Temple Gardens Hotel & Spa, or check out the Tunnels of Moose Jaw for a quick trip to the past.
Time: 1 hour
At Buffalo Pound you can swim, hike, fish, and lounge on the beach. There's also a lot of nature to be found here, which makes it a great choice for a day trip. Cap off your day by grabbing ice cream at the Lakeside Store.
