If you like spooky places, foggy lakes, trees draped in moss, and abandoned creepy cabins, then Caddo Lake State Park in Texas is just the places for you. The park is located right outside Texarkana and will make you feel like you're in a hauntingly chilling movie.

The park is 26,810 acres and has everything you could possibly need for your next adventure. The lake gets lots of fishing attention year around but they do suggest you read their alligator safety guide as the scaley beasts tend to lurk around these waters.

The lake offers paddle boating, canoe or kayaking the lake surrounded by trees which makes this a one-of-a-kind view. There are over 50 miles of water that you can paddle around in the winding lake.

Hiking through the piney woods is also an option and if you're lucky enough, you might find an abandoned cabin or two. The historic cabins are run down and slightly spooky so you know what you might find in there. If you are brave enough to enter, you may even encounter something ghostly!

Despite the chilling vibe, Caddo Lake is a beautiful place where you can spend the night amongst the great outdoors. The park offers visitors a chance to stay at one of their 46 campsites starting at just $10 a night. You can also stay at one of their screen shelters for $25 a night that comes with a picnic area and electricity. If glamping is more your style, they offer cabins starting at $75 a night with fireplaces, private restrooms, electricity and A/C.

You can visit Caddo Lake year round so you should start planning your trip to the enchanted area now! For more information on Caddo Lake State Park and to rent one of their cabins, you can visit their website here.
