But no wintry activity can match the magical experience of Alberta's Polar Express Train Ride, which is set to embark from the town of Stettler, right between Edmonton and Calgary.

The Alberta Prairie Train is completely transforming for the occassion. Its one-hour, roundtrip rides between November 23rd and December 21st will transport passengers to the "North Pole" in an adventure inspired by the beloved Christmas film.

Onboard, all passengers will get hot chocolate and a cookie treat made by Polar Express Chefs. You'll also get a souvenir, a ceramic Polar Express mug, so that you may never forget the fantastical experience

You'll definitely feel like you're in the world of The Polar Express. A reading of the novel will guide you through your ride and Santa will also make a special appearance once the train reaches the North Pole and before the return trip to Stettler.

You can already make a reservation for your Polar Express train ride. Some departures have already sold out so make sure to book fast. To reserve your spot, call 1-800-282-3994. The train rides cost $70 per person.
