In Calgary, there are really only two seasons - winter, and Stampede. Although the Stampede really only runs for a little over a week in July, it's still on people's minds all year round, and as soon as the festivities end, planning for the next year begins. Now that November is here, we're nearing closer and closer to 2020's event, and that means it's time to start releasing headliners. Blake Shelton's Calgary Stampede concert will be totally unforgettable.

Bright and early this morning, the Stampede announced via social media that one of next year's headliners will be none other than country music icon and judge on The Voice, Blake Shelton.

The singer will be performing at the Scotiabank Saddledome on the last Saturday of the upcoming 2020 Stampede, which anyone who's attended before will tell you is definitely one of the rowdiest nights you'll experience on the grounds.

"He is an unparalleled entertainer, and his songs are Stampede anthems. I can think of no better artist to ring in a Calgary Stampede Saturday night,” said Stampede Entertainment Inc. president, Adam Oppenheim.

Tickets for the event go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 15, and start at just $59.99, which is definitely a bargain as far as Stampede tickets go.

Though Shelton is the only headlining artist announced thus far for the 2020 Calgary Stampede, more big names are going to be coming out over the next few months, especially if they want to out-do last year's shows.

The 2019 Calgary Stampede brought the likes of Guy Fieri, Snoop Dogg, Brody Jenner, and Lil Nas X to cowtown, and that doesn't even begin to cover all of the amazing names.
