Calgary Is Having An Epic Ghostbusters Halloween Party And Concert This Fall
As an adult, it's seriously difficult to find fun ways to celebrate Halloween. It's almost impossible to find something fun to do that's not simply showing up at a regular bar in a costume. This Halloween will be different. Calgary's Ghostbusters Halloween Party is here and there's finally a Halloween party we would actually want to attend.
We all know that the most fun thing about Halloween was trick or treating and those days are long over for us Millenials. You can take away our free candy, but you can never take away our love of Ghostbusters. The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra will be doing a live concert performance of the music in Ghostbusters while the movie plays. This incredible live scoring will be followed by an after-party.
There are two shows for the concert, one on Friday, October 25 and one on Saturday, October 26. The after-party will happen only after the Friday night performance. The Saturday show is actually a matinee so you could hit up a different Halloween party after the movie if you're trying to jam-pack that weekend with as much fun as possible.
If you were looking for an excuse to put together a Halloween costume this year, then you've finally found it. Bonus points for anyone who manages to convince their whole squad to join them at the concert in full-on Ghostbusters gear. Anyone who shows up dressed like a sexy Beyond Meat burger should probably win a medal.
Kids who grew up in the 90s were obsessed with Ghostbusters and there's a unique Canadian connection to the film. Dan Aykroyd is an iconic Canadian actor and the movie wouldn't be the same without him.
We're already excited for the next Ghostbusters movie, especially because it's supposed to be filmed in Canada.
