Calgary Police Service are searching for a suspect after a seemingly random attack on a teen. A 15-year-old was walking with his mother at a Braeside off-leash dog park in the evening on Saturday, February 15. Police say that the Calgary teen attacked in a dog park was with his mom when the pair were approached by an unknown man and after an altercation, the teen was stabbed.
Police report that the incident happened around 7:50 p.m. in the 1500 block of 110 St. SW, according to a statement filed shortly after the incident. They are asking anyone who saw something suspicious around the area at that time to come forward.
The teen was transported by EMS to Foothills Medical Centre, according to the Edmonton Journal. He's in stable condition, they report.
"At this time, our investigators believe this attack was unprovoked and that the victim was targeted randomly," reads a police statement filed shortly after the incident.
Later in the release, police describe the suspect as "a man believed to be 40 to 50 years old, wearing dark clothing and a three-quarter-length jacket with reflective markings on it." The suspect fled on foot after the incident towards Southwood.

Police are looking for possible suspects, and ask residents in the areas of Braeside and Southwood with CCTV to check their recordings.
Right now, Calgary Police are reviewing CCTV to try and get a better description of the suspect.
