You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, but did you know that there's a zebra that wants to be a reindeer, too? On Sunday, December 1, the Calgary Zoo's baby zebra was welcomed into the world. The days-old male zebra foal was spotted prancing around in the snow and he looks like he's trying out for Santa's sleigh team.
According to the zoo, his mom, named Leba, is bonding well with her as-of-yet unnamed foal.
A couple of photos show him prancing around in the snow, striking a stunning pose, and snuggling with his mom.
The Calgary Zoo has had a ton of adorable new additions lately.
There were the new extra-chonky cats that are extremely round and fluffy — so much so that they looked a bit like they belonged in the world of Dr. Seuss.
Plus, earlier this fall, the zoo debuted their new Red Panda Fox cub that looked like an actual stuffed toy. It was almost too cute to be real.
Anyone who loves to see cute animals at the zoo has to check out all the latest additions ASAP. Plus, with Zoolights going on right now, a trip to the zoo is extra-magical.

In a tweet on the morning of Tuesday, December 3, the zoo announced the birth of the new baby zebra.
Anyone who goes to the zoo might be able to "catch a glimpse of them outside in their African Savannah habitat" right now, according to the tweet.
The new arrival looks so striking in the snow and so playful that he looks like he wants to be one of Santa's reindeer when he grows up.
